Smart Temp is pleased to release the RS-W wireless room temperature sensor. This new sensor is perfect for all those applications where you need measure temperature remotely from the controlling thermostat but you are just can’t get wiring through economically.
The RS-W sensor runs for over a year on a set of “AA” Alkaline battery and features true 2 way communications. This means that the receiver must get confirmation of a valid temperature on a regular basis or it indicates loss of communication and outputs a fixed temperature of 21c to the thermostat to prevent run away heating or cooling condition.
A test button with LED feedback is provided on the sensor enabling you to confirm communications at any time. The RS-W is available as a simple wall sensor, a sensor with +/- 2 c of temperature adjustment or with an afterhours run button. It is suitable for use as a remote room temperature sensor, as an averaging room sensor or as an outside air temperature sensor. If you need remote temperature monitoring and can’t get wires through, the Smart Temp RS-W is the answer.
